Wildfire season is upon us and with it the devastation of our forests. My aim in this atmospheric painting was to show the horror and feel the fear and heat of the fire and the thick choking smoke. A Single tree stands tall and proud in the foreground but the fire will eventually bring it down on it’s knees. A lone eagle swoops overhead heading towards the suns light to freedom and to find a new habitat to survive.
